The station for the far beaches, where the city runs out into fishing villages.
Malad itself is malls and towers, but a long rickshaw ride west the land narrows into a peninsula of fishing villages, old churches and wide empty beaches. Aksa is the long one; Marve has the ferry across the creek. It is the nearest thing Mumbai has to a day at the seaside.

A long, wide beach with few buildings behind it. Come for the walk and the sunset, and stay out of the water: the currents here are dangerous.

See
Madh Fort
A Portuguese watchtower from the 1600s at the tip of the peninsula. You cannot go inside, but the walk around it through the fishing village is the point.
